How do you deal with anxiety?

I seem to suffer with anxiety from time to time and would like to know your thoughts on how to deal with it? I have tried medication but feel like they don't work for me at times.

I really wish I had an answer to that. As a fellow anxiety sufferer, I have to admit I unfortunately haven't found any specific way of dealing with it that works each time. Sometimes distracting myself helps, just focusing on something so much that I kind of "forget" about anxiety. Otherwise, I just sort of wait for it to go away.

sometimes I like to play some video games to distract myself a little or i would go on a long walk through nature, I think going to the park and seeing some nature helps me alot :) XD

I suffer from extreme anxiety. As for dealing with it, I have no idea. I tried 10+ years of "talk" therapy, and have taken medication for 20+ years. The talk stuff didn't help. The meds do a little bit, but I still can't work and rarely go out....

I’m sorry to hear this. There must a way to manage this other than therapy or meds. Have you looked at other possibilities?

I don't suffer, I relish it. ;)
Seriously, though, I have no answer. I just keep going, ignoring it as best as I can. I understand that it might not be the healthiest course of action, but what alternative is there? I have no money for a shrink. :cautious:
I suppose video-games help, but recently I've grown so tired of them, and the internet, and television. I'd rather go outside and touch grass or read a book, but somehow I just can't make myself do it. :(
But when it really hits me, I turn on some music, some darker post-punk or doom metal and just lie on the couch, staring into the void.
